Pam & Doug
DeTray

Doug: “For me, service is simply the outward pouring of my inward faith. It is taking my established doctrines about life and then living them out. Simply put, it is walking one’s walk. “
Pamela: “The great commandment is to love God and love others. Serving others is a great way to love them!”
Doug’s background as a podiatrist and a pastor included 30 years of mentoring for engaged couples and 10 years of mentoring established marriages. Today, he serves as a respite caregiver for a hospice program and volunteers with Harvesters, with his neighborhood and with his church. He formerly has served with KC Rescue Mission, City Union Mission, Freedom Fire and Shepherd’s Center. Pamela worked in cardiac nursing for 30 years at Trinity Hospital, Overland Park Regional and Advent Health. She also now volunteers with hospice care, with Johnson County Meals on Wheels, at the Welcome Center at Colonial Prebyterian Church, in Harvesters distribution and at the Overland Park Arboretum
