Sharon

Lundy

“Volunteering is the best way to give back to our communities!”

Sharon says she is a “true MoKan – born in KC and raised in Johnson County.” She’s a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area, and spent almost 50 years working at UMB Bank. She was also a founding member of the Medical Arts Symphony and the Johnson and Jackson Counties’ Theater in the Parks. Since her retirement, she served as a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and at Union Station, where she has donated nearly 1,800 hours of service. She is also a former member of the KC Civic Orchestra, but says that health reasons do not allow her to play her beloved viola any longer. Instead, this year she will support her fellow musicians in a variety of ways – as a volunteer for the KC Civic Orchestra, the KC Symphony, Friends of Chamber Music and as a board member for the KC Music Club.
