Joe

“When I was hungry, you fed me; when I was thirsty, you gave me drink; when I was naked, you clothed me. In essence, service to me means to help others less fortunate.”

The Shepherd’s Center is proud to recognize one of our own among this year’s honorees. Joe has been a dedicated volunteer, preparing and delivering food to homebound individuals throughout our community since 2007. Delivering 8-10 meals every week for 14 years adds up to untold thousands of people who would have been hungry and thirsty without Joe’s unwavering service. He has been married to his wife Juanita for 43 years; they have three sons and three grandchildren, plus lots of nieces and nephews. Joe is a retired ironworker from Local #10.
