Dedicated describes Pam Roberts perfectly. Working in the medical field in accounting, billing and secretarial duties throughout her career led to a natural volunteer opportunity after retirement from the Visiting Nurses Association of Kansas City. St. Luke’s Hospital is within walking distance of her home, making it a perfect place to volunteer. She started in 2010 greeting visitors to the Midwest Heart Institute at the Plaza. Her pleasant demeanor and professional efficiency have encouraged visitors who enter this often-complex environment. In addition to her usual volunteer activities, she prepares monthly information desk statistical reports used to improve efficiencies for helping visitors. Her key to staying active and engaged is being positive and communicating with everyone. She likes getting along with people and enjoying life as it comes. For her there is no better way to have a good life.
