Pam Tannen is a busy gal! While officially retired, she continues to work at least one day a week at the Brookside Market, while also delivering Meals on Wheels (MOW) to homebound older adults one day a week. She picks up additional routes if needed and has volunteered for MOW for more than five years. Her clients to her are more than just older homebound people who need food; she has built relationships with them and is quick to report to Shepherd’s Center should things not seem right or if she identifies problems or additional needs. She also regularly visits a 90-year-old friend and takes her out for social time and shopping. Her enthusiasm and caring attitude are contagious to all who meet or volunteer with her. She is a role model — always positive, happy and thankful for the things she is doing.
