Jantz

Keith's commitment to the health care profession as well as contributing to the vibrancy of the Kansas City region is exceptional. His many medical affiliations include President of the Retired Physicians Organization; member, Leadership Council - Kansas City Medical Society; and Chair of Medical Ethics Committees for two local medical centers. Keith's dedication to lending his experience and talents to the local nonprofit community are many. They include volunteering for the American Heart Association as a former Board member, making corporate presentations on heart health, and as a fundraiser for their annual Heart Ball. He also helps organize the KCK Cross Lines Annual Christmas Store. Keith and his medical group were recipients of the 2009 Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award. He has presented on heart health to multiple civic groups, including KC Shepherd's Center. Keith is an advocate in both Kansas and Missouri to expand Medicaid, as well as promoting gun safety and reduction of gun violence. "Educating the public is my priority for improving the general health of our community and society. Providing health literacy information to the general public can simplify personal choices, promote prevention and achieve better outcomes," states Keith. Prevention is the key to better health for individuals and society. Keith believes the key to staying active in the aging process revolves around three processes: Work, Serve, and Learn. Stay vibrant by working part time in an activity you enjoy, serving the community through volunteer efforts, and learning a new skill, language, or hobby.
